BELIEVE is Pongakawa Schools’ Learner Statement. Each letter of BELIEVE stands for a value or attribute that the students at Pongakawa strive to achieve. The language of the BELIEVE is used in all aspects of school life at Pongakawa. If students are seen to be reflecting one of the attributes of the BELIEVE they may be rewarded with a special BELIEVE certificate at Friday celebration assembly. The certificate shows the attribute they have enacted. If a student receives a certificate for every letter of the BELIEVE Learner Statement they will then be invited to a special morning tea with the principal at the end of the year.
